Armenian Community Association of Australia Inc.
Armenian Community Association of Australia Incorporated was
registered in August 1983 under the auspices of Social Democrat
Hunchakian Party - Australian Leadership.
Originally known as 'New Generation Cultural Society', the
non-profit association was incorporated in July 1996 with the
following Divisions:
Armenian Nor Serount (New Generation)
Cultural Association
Armenian Homenmen (HMM) Sporting Association
Armenian Dkhrouni Youth Association
Media Committee
(a) 'Voice of Nor Serount' Armenian
Radio
(b) 'Zank' Armenian Journal
Objective:
The aim of the association is to preserve, promote, foster and
advance, in a manner consistent with the public interest, the
Armenian culture in Diaspora. To also organise, facilitate and
provide sporting activities and competitions and to acquaint the
Armenian history and culture to young Armenians in Australia.
Armenian Nor Serount (New
Generation) Cultural Association
is the cultural division of the Armenian Community Association of
Australia Inc. Its activities include folkloric dance group,
drama, cultural nights, radio program, social functions and
community gatherings.
The
Nor Serount Ladies Auxiliary
committee works in tandem with the Armenian Nor Serount Cultural
Association by providing practical solutions to community
functions.
Armenian Homenmen (HMM) Sporting Association
is the sporting division of the Armenian Community Association of
Australia Inc. Its activities include the organisation and
participation of sporting competitions, providing sports coaching
and training.
Armenian Dkhrouni Youth Association
is the youth division of the Armenian Community Association of
Australia Inc. Its activities include commemoration of Armenian
historical occasions, educational camps, community guest lectures,
documentary movie nights, dinner-dance functions, social sports,
camping trips and skiing excursions.
